Section V (Psychology of Asian Pacific American Women), established in 2008, focuses on advancing a feminist understanding of the psychology of Asian Pacific American women. Our members include graduate students, faculty, clinicians, university psychologists, and training directors—anyone who shares our mission and values.

Purpose & Vision

The purposes of Div. 35’s Section 5, Psychology of Asian Pacific American Women are to:

  • Promote the general objectives of the American Psychological Association and the Society for the Psychology of Women.

  • Develop feminist approaches to Asian Pacific American Women.

  • Develop and advance feminist understanding of the psychology of Asian Pacific American Women.

  • Connect Asian Pacific Women together from across the mental health field to build support and community for one another.

Membership

Apply for membership for Section 5 Psychology of Asian Pacific American Women by completing the form below. Membership period is January to December. Section V does not collect membership dues, but accepts donations to support programming and section activities. Please visit our donation page for more information.
